From the owner

Ever since I came to America in 1995, I have wanted to open a restaurant and share the Georgian culinary tradition. 

The name Tamari derives from three sources: my daughter; my grandmother, who passed her love of cooking down to me; and Queen Tamari of the 12th century, who led Georgia to peace and prosperity. These women continue to inspire me, and it was with them in mind that I opened this restaurant. We are family owned and operated, serving 100% authentic, Georgian food. We pride ourselves on serving only the freshest and highest quality food and wine.

- Georgia is one of the oldest wine regions in the world. Dated over 8000 years ago

- Georgia's capital, Tbilisi, was founded in the 5th century

- Georgia is the birthplace of wine and home to over 500 indigenous grape varieties

- Europe's highest settlement, Ushguli, is in Georgia at 6,900 feet

Our restaurant is available for private events: weddings, business lunches, dinners, cocktail receptions, and more. We would love to discuss how to be a part of your next event. 

We refuse to compromise on quality in our restaurant. That's why we source our fresh ingredients from local farmers' markets.
